
Day 1 Overview
The main stage brought together institutional, regulatory, academic, and market perspectives, creating a broad view of how Europe’s digital asset landscape is developing.
Across the day, Christian Pirkner of Bluecode shared perspectives on digital payments, market adoption, and the role of payment infrastructure in Europe’s digital economy, while Stephan Lutz of BitMEX addressed digital asset markets, liquidity, and institutional perspectives on the sector’s development.
The programme also featured a fireside conversation with Yat Siu of Animoca Brands, moderated by Fefe Demeny, exploring digital ownership and the changing role of users, platforms, and intelligent agents.
From an institutional perspective, Holger Neuhaus of the European Central Bank contributed insights on digital finance, innovation, and regulatory development, while Ruben Bombardi of VARA focused on regulation, supervision, and governance in digital asset markets.
Market infrastructure and adoption were further explored through contributions from Christoph Pliessnig of Teroxx, Giovanni Cunti of Gate, Benjamin Levit of Bluechip, and Dominik Beier of Bitpanda, covering regulated infrastructure, exchange access, transparency, risk assessment, platform growth, and the development of the European market.
The day also included perspectives from Christina Macedo of ACTIO on Web3 adoption, community, and digital ecosystems; Max Bernt of Taxbit on tax, compliance, and regulatory readiness; and Bogdan Vacusta of BIPA on blockchain intelligence and professional standards.
